UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest Information
When:
- 7th Grade Band – Wednesday, April 2, 2025 @ 10:40am
- 8th Grade Band – Thursday, April 3, 2025 @ 9:25 am
(Parents, PLEASE make sure these dates are clear of any Doctor or Dentist Appointments!)
Where:
- Gilmer High School Auditorium
What do the kids need to wear:
- White collar shirt (a Maroon tie will be issued to the kids the morning of contest)
- Black pants / skirt
(Please don’t spend lots of money on these articles of clothing. We have been talking to the kids about this before we left for Spring Break. They should know what is acceptable and what is not).
The kids will leave school during 1st Period and should return back to school sometime in the afternoon. Lunch plans are being made in the event that contest runs late and it interferes with the students’ lunchtime (no money will be needed if this happens). The kids will return to school and run their schedule once we arrive at school, so they need to wear their contest clothes or have a change of clothes.
