Marching Band:

Membership in the marching band is open to all students. It is required for membership in the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Majorette & Flag Corps. All members of the WOHS Band Program must participate in the Marching Band.  The Marching Band is only active in the fall with weekly varsity football games and a few local parades. Required rehearsals are held once a week on Monday nights from 7-9pm. The Marching Band performs at the required UIL Region Marching Band Contestand possibly one or two other competitions.

Drum Line/ Front Ensemble:

 

 

 

All percussionists are members of the White Oak Drum Line. Members
are instructed in the area of marching percussion. Each spot on the drum line is determined by auditions held in May. Participation in the marching band is a co-requisite.

Majorette Line & Flag Corps:

 

Membership in this group is determined by audition. This ensemble is a visual and dance group that performs with the Marching Band. This group participates in UIL Solo & Ensemble Contests. Members are instructed in techniques of dance, twirl  and flag. Participation in the marching band is a co-requisite.
